Proof: RIAA bots in action
I used to run a website for a client, and there was a page on the site that pointed to places where you could get mp3 versions of U2 songs. (It didn’t provide them. It just pointed to them).
a) This is still the no. 1 accessed page on the site.
b) The image below shows the top 15 ways that page is accessed via keywords
Tell me the record industry doesn’t use bots to search out who’s providing downloads of recording artist’s songs. Do you care? Probably not . . . I just thought it was interesting to see them in action.
