For Mac, I like NetNewsWire (or NNW Lite) or Vienna. They’re all on Freemacware.com. Some people really like NewsFire.
For PC I’ve used FeedReader and SharpReader and liked them fine.
Web-based, there’s Bloglines, Google Reader, MyYahoo, and others.
Wikipedia has a pretty full list:

I use Vienna on OS X and find it quite usable. In fact I’m posting this comment from within Vienna.
I love bloglines.
Russ:
I like sage if you are using firefox for your browser. I heard also that the next explorer browser has a good feed reader built in.
Thanks for commenting on my blog on such a regular basis. I love to get others perspectives (especially when they are not the same as mine).
So you went to Hillcrest… I came home and looked at my OLD yearbook. Did you hang out with Wes Miles? Your picture looked extremely familiar but I have a HORRIBLE memory. Honestly I have the hardest time recalling what happened during my schooling days (its not because I drank or did drugs I did neither). Its probably because school was so hard for me. I really had a hard time learning in the school setting.
So where do you live? You mentioned that you are married, do you have any kids? How is work?
Well I hope that all is well with you and with business.

[...] NewHutch is an infant newsreader that I have been running through the Russell Page test labs (my living room), and my first impression is that I like how user-oriented and simple it is. You don’t even have to know the address of the feed, just the address of a website (good idea for mass adoption). [...]
