81% in Poll Say Nation Is on the Wrong Track
Do we really need a poll to reveal that a potential recession is “the Wrong Track?”
Truckers say port of entry costing too much in fuel
“One trucker told us it’s costing him money just to idle, especially at those ports of entry truckers have to stop at.” And it costs the rest of us money “just to idle” in rush hour traffic, in construction zones and at stop lights.

Hillary Clinton Advocates “Poverty Czar”
“I mean appointing a cabinet level position that will be solely and fully devoted to ending poverty as we know it in America, a position that will focus the attention of our nation on this issue.”
Unless she appoints someone like Milton Friedman (who actually passed away in 2006), a Poverty Czar with a socialized agenda will only make the problem worse.

The strange thing is the disconnect in some of the polls and the headlines. Most people who are down on the economy and other things in America are actually positive about their own situation - but concerned about everyoneelse’s. Unfortunately, recessions can be a self-fulfilling prophecy. If enough people are convinced that the economy is bad - it is.
The headlines, of course, love to focus on the negative. Recall that a year ago we had headlines about how the lack of available talent was hurting business. Now that the economy has cooled down a little, there are employees available. The lunacy in the housing market has cooled off, so employees can better afford a home.
So why panic - Ok, the thought of Hillary getting into office - and appointing a Poverty Czar is of concern - but we can do some thing about it. Of course, if she gets elected, at least the Poverty Czar will be successful (at creating more poverty). Of couse, if Hillary gets elected, the headlines won’t be negative any more.
“Poverty Czar”… Shouldn’t the position be called “End Poverty Czar”, or something? No wait –it was right the first time.
If people want a “Poverty Czar” that’s exactly what their going to get, but I hate it when people think socialism is going to solve their problems. It’s not like it’s never been tried.
BTW, I love the “Czar” part too. “Chair” or something similar would be much too capitalistic. Hillary should certify that the “Czar” can prove untainted Russian lineage just to ensure that we’re getting the real deal.
