The above video gives a visual representation of some very, very smart baseball. Sure, Derek Jeter makes an athletic play, but many athletes would have never thought to position themselves as he did. That’s some serious baseball IQ.
The thing is, there’s a bit of “IQ” to every profession whether it’s baseball, business, programming or baking. So how do you raise your “IQ” for your profession? What do you do to up your game, to make sure you’re making the moves like Jeter did?

Amen! Born a Yankee fan and I love Jeter! Most of the guys in the majors are athletic but baseball smart is another thing. Jeter is a perfect combination of both and he is so key in the clutch. To me, he’ll be right up there with Ruth, Dimaggio, Gehrig, Berra, Mattingly, and all the other Yankee greats. Let’s just hope the Yanks can pull through here at the end and pass up those pathetic Bo Sox. As a friend of mine said who is actually a Boston fan, “Leave it to the Red Sox to choke again!” Go Yanks!
I also agree that IQ (or lack thereof) is necessary in all professions. I work with new business owners all the time and unfortunately, some have a tough time with the “business IQ” stuff. If there is no demand for a product online, why waist your time, money and effort trying to create it in 30 to 90 days? Sure, demand can be created, but it won’t happen overnight unless you got a lot of cash and a stroke of luck.
wow
sure he had a lousy ALDS in ‘08
but the team got in there without
much pitching
recent decisions to put chamberlain and phillips in the starting rotation could put them over the top again
ARod will play for the Yanks again
who else is there to pay him for even close to what is worth?
a fan since I saw Yogi play (on TV) left field and make two circus catches two doubles one homer in one game….year was about 1957….it was his off day from catching
