3 rules for interviewing bloggers
Apparently Jason Calacanis has created a stir with some journalists by posting his interviews with them on his blog. They are getting scooped by the source. Calacanis only does interviews by email so he has record of what was said and can point out discrepancies. He’s made a habit of posting the interview word for word on his blog soon after it is complete. Mark Cuban posts his at times too. (He got after the NY Times quoting him out of context on this one . . . ). At least that’s what it seems like. I’ll address this later . . .
3 rules for interviewing bloggers (or anyone for that matter). It should be three interview rules . . . whether your interviewing or you are the interviewee. [via MediaBistro ]

I love that bloggers are posting the entire interviews. I think if journalists were any good they would do so themselves. It would show that they are willing to keep themselves in check.
