CBS, NBC and ABC showing favor toward blue

“The Big Three television networks have used unprecedented midterm election coverage to bash the Republican Party with negative stories, and plenty of them, a study says.
Only 12 percent of election stories that aired on NBC, ABC or CBS were favorable toward Republican candidates, according to a study released yesterday by the District-based Center for Media and Public Affairs (CMPA).
In contrast, Democrats basked in glory. The study found that 77 percent of the news accounts between Sept. 5 and Oct. 22 offered favorable evaluations of Democratic candidates and lawmakers. ” via WashingtonTimes
Romney and Bush for 2008?

The Boston Herald points to a number of recent moves that would suggest that Mitt Romney and Geb Bush may be teaming up for a presidential bid in 2008. I wrote a bunch about the last election on a blog I owned call kerryandbush.com and I plan to write about the election again because elections are mass case studies of communication and public relations strategy.
John Kerry PR blunder

No matter who you vote for, this was just stupid because he made it sound like you’re an idiot if you’re one of the trooops. And, I don’t know who his communications strategist is, but to come back with a response like this is just nuts. “If anyone owes our troops in the fields an apology, it is the President.”
